Executive Mayor Cllr William Thulare Madileng

Cllr William Thulare Madileng was born and breed in Marapyane, he completed his matriculate studies at Mmamethlake High School, upon completion of his secondary education, and he started his tertiary at the university of the North where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA Ed), he then completed an ABET Certificate with the University of South Africa, inter alia qualifications adding to his credentials include a Diploma in Marketing from Newport University-Executive Education; Post Graduate Diploma in Public Management from Regenesys School Graduate; NQF Level 5 in Introduction to business computing.

Cllr W.T Madileng started his career in education in the following schools (respectively) Khamane High School, Sehlaku High School, Rashepo High School and Marapyane College of Educators, thereafter he became the Circuit Manager (Chief Education Specialist) in the Moutse West Circuit, within the Department of Education, He chronologically progressed as a Curriculum Implementer (Senior Education Specialist) in the Moretele District Office and became an Acting manager (deputy Chief Education Specialist) in the Moutse West Circuit.

Once he left the Education sector Cllr W.T Madileng headed the MEC’s office in the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liason. He became an Office Manager to the Chief Whip Office in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature, in the Department of Human Settlements he was a Personal Assistant to the MEC and headed the support staff in the MEC office; in the same department through his hard work, dedication and expertise he was appointed as a Chief Director and in the very same year he became a member of the legislature at the Mpumalanga Legislature.

In the political realm Cllr W.T Madileng was an ANC Branch Executive member of the Marapyane village and the Disciplinary Committee Chairperson, he became a member of the Moretele Constituency Office Management and was appointed Chairperson of the ANC Moretele Sub-Region and Marapyane branch, in the same Sub-Region he was part of the team that helped in the Establishment of the ANC Youth and Women’s League. Cllr W.T Madileng was the deputy Chairperson of the Greater Marble Hall Municipality Local Aids Council as well as a member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Skills Development Committee

On the Morning of the 9th September 2017, Cllr W.T Madileng was appointed as an Executive Mayor of the Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality.
The Municipality of Dr JS Moroka is fortunate to have such an extraordinary, educated man with vast experience to call their Executive Mayor.
